About Ihar Valianski

I’ve always been fascinated by how technology shapes the way we live. What started as curiosity in gaming and building computers slowly grew into a passion for servers, smart homes, and cloud infrastructure. Over the years, I’ve combined hands-on experimentation with a desire to understand how all these systems connect, from personal devices to large-scale clusters.

Outside of tech, I’ve also explored creative projects like my Canada in Colours book series, which reflect my belief that creativity and technology don’t have to exist in separate worlds. My journey is about blending these interests together and showing how curiosity can turn into practical skills, meaningful work, and personal growth.

My work focuses on building and sharing knowledge in technology, cloud systems, and connected living. I design and manage server clusters, experiment with Proxmox and OpenStack, and create smart home systems powered by solar, automation, and secure networking. These projects aren’t just technical exercises — they’re about making technology useful, efficient, and scalable.

Alongside the technical side, I use my platforms to write, teach, and create content that bridges the gap between complex systems and everyday life. Whether it’s setting up a home lab, running distributed clusters with OpenStack, or integrating EVs into a connected home, my work is about turning knowledge into inspiration and practical results.
